Recipe: Miso Bowl

Nothing like a steaming bowl of miso goodness to beat the winter blues. The beauty of this is that anything goes - mix or subtract your veggies, change them up. Not a broccoli lover? Leave it out. It's your bowl, - own it.

 1 tspn Ginger, finely chopped
• 1 tspn Garlic, finely chopped
• 500ml chicken Stock 
• 2 tbsp Miso Paste
• 2 Carrots 
• 4 spring onions, finely sliced
• Bone Chicken thighs or Pork Belly 
• Bok Choy
• Broccoli 
• 1 Tbsp Sweet Soy Sauce
• 1 Tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce 
• 1 tspn Fish Sauce
• 1l of water 


Gently fry the ginger, garlic & onion.  Add the pork or chicken and fry for a few more minutes to brown. Add the carrots, chicken stock, miso paste and all the sauces.  Let the flavours infuse then add the water.  Bring to boil and then turn down to simmer for a few minutes more until meat is cooked.  Add the green veggies at the end to retain the crunch.
